Bitcoin has broken above the $6,000 mark for the first time in almost six months, showing marked resilience despite this week's hack of major crypto exchange Binance.
Funds stolen on May 7 from cryptocurrency exchange Binance have been moved to seven bitcoin addresses, six of which hold 1,060.6 BTC, while one holds 707.1 BTC.
Within the next 18 months, Galaxy Digital CEO Michael Novogratz said that he expects bitcoin will cross $20,000, while other cryptocurrencies "aren't going to go up nearly as quickly."
At the Salt conference in New York, economist and notorious cryptocurrency critic Nouriel Roubini said that "cryptos is the mother and father of all bubbles."
The president and CEO of Samsung's IT and consultancy arm has revealed the firm is including blockchain as one of the key technologies for its "Digital Transformation Network."
